Applications are now being accepted for the position of dean of the University of Michigan’s College of Literature, Science, and the Arts. The position has been officially posted and the dean search advisory committee has retained Korn Ferry, a global executive search firm, to assist in the recruitment process.

LSA’s new dean will shape and implement the strategic priorities for U-M’s largest college. The dean will be expected to collaborate, partner, and build relationships within LSA and the broader U-M community. The dean will work closely with departments and faculty members to recruit and retain world-class faculty, and to share the college’s strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

This individual will exhibit the administrative and financial acumen that is necessary to lead one of the premiere liberal arts and sciences colleges in the country.

In October, the LSA dean search advisory committee was announced. Chaired by Mark West, dean of the Law School and Nippon Life Professor of Law, the committee is charged with conducting a broad search and presenting an unranked slate of recommended candidates to the provost.
