Kyra Brazell

When did you join Student Academic Affairs? I joined the team in November 2022.

What was your path to Student Academic Affairs? I spent several years working in both academic and public libraries before moving to Ann Arbor. Once here, I worked for the Law School's Office of Career Planning as a Career Planning Assistant before joining Newnan.

Why did you join SAA? I joined SAA because I was looking for a supportive, open, and creative work environment, and that is exactly what I have found! I work with an incredible team of people who are all passionate about what they do, and who strive to make our office the great place that it is. I was also excited to get back into an area of the university that focused on the arts and sciences, as those subjects are particularly close to my heart.

Subject you love and why? I love both Biology and English equally! I love animals and the natural world, which led me to pursue a degree in Biology when I went to college. I am also an avid reader, which I have been from a very young age. I never go anywhere without a book, and I am always on the lookout for my next great read!
