Department/Unit: LSA Dean's: Finance
Working Title: Business Analyst Senior
Let's get to know Kristin...
How long have you been with the university, and how long in your current position?
I've been with UM since May 2008 and have been in LSA Finance since July 2015.
What has been your most memorable experience at U-M?
Meeting two of my coworkers when I first started at UM (Cory and Tasha), who have truly been like family to me. They've been great friends since 2008 and have taught me a lot both personally and professionally. We all split to different jobs at the U, but are now all back together in LSA.
What gives you a connection to your job and helps you define your purpose?
In each of my positions, I've gotten a little more involved or detailed in the work of the University; so being able to see how the work that I do, helps other areas/individuals to make this whole University function is pretty cool.
What motivates and energizes you at work?
Getting to solve problems that will provide data to help users on the back-end.
What advice would you give to a new employee at the university?
Take notes while learning!!! Build relationships with colleagues, you never know when you may work with them again or may need to call on them for their expertise.
What is one thing about yourself you think people would be surprised to know?
This year is my 4th year coaching Canton High School Varsity Girls Bowling.
If you were a flavor of ice cream, what would you be?
Blue Moon (it's just my favorite!)
