Advising
Students can schedule advising appointments by emailing their availability to [email protected]. A meeting is not required to be eligible to declare the minor. Students must review the minor policies and reach out to request a declaration form.
Prerequisites
Students must complete at least one course in economics at the University of Michigan or obtain a waiver from their home unit due to previous courses or mastery of the subject.

Requirements
Minimum Credits: 15
Foundational Course Requirement (6 credits)
- URP 390: Real Estate Design and Development Fundamentals (3 credits)
- FIN 302: Making Financial Decisions (3 credits)
Electives Requirement (at least 9 credits)
- Students must choose courses from a pre-approved list at the department. The courses fall within three established tracks for the minor: Development, Sustainability and Affordability, or Finance and Investing.
