Summer Learning

Study biodiversity in Michigan, geology in Wyoming, or immerse yourself in a new language—and much more. 

Every year, summer courses offer LSA students the chance to obtain academic credit while exploring new learning opportunities including:  

The University of Michigan Biological Station

Study biology and environmental science in the field in northern Michigan.     

The Camp Davis Rocky Mountain Field Station

Take a variety of courses in the geology, environmental sciences, and humanities.   

New England Literature Program

Learn about New England authors and writing for six-and-a-half weeks.    

Summer Language Institute

Applications are now available and can be filled out and emailed to the desired language departments.

Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP)

Conduct intense research in labs or in the community.
