Fall 2015 Event Info
When: Weekend October 23-24-25, 2015
Where: S. State Street, 1500 North Quad
The LRC’s Translate-a-thon is a weekend-long forum for collaboration on multiple translation projects from the academic sector, non-profit organizations, local businesses, and the community at large. Educators, students, and community volunteers with a proficiency in another language or languages assemble in the LRC’s main center (105 S. State Street, 1500 North Quad) to tackle translation projects we already have on hand or projects of their own that they bring.
Food will be provided each day, so come and eat, chat, translate, and learn. Our facility is spacious, comfortable, and provides many computers, but you should feel free to bring your own laptop if you prefer. The event begins Friday evening, continues all day on Saturday and into the early afternoon on Sunday, and ends on Sunday with brief remarks by participants around 1pm and a giveaway of prizes around 2pm. Come at your convenience over the weekend and stay for whatever intervals you feel comfortable with. But please RSVP so that we can organize our space accordingly and order the right amount of food.
