Language Resource Center

Taylor Faires joined the LRC in 2022 after completing her Master's degree in Information Science at the University of Michigan. Prior to coming to Michigan, Taylor worked at the Barnard College Digital Humanities Center where she organized events, taught workshops on digital tools, and worked with professors to help better integrate digital pedagogy into their courses.

As the Information Specialist at the LRC, Taylor manages the center's collections and operations, supervises the student staff, and liaises with faculty regarding their language resource needs.

She has a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from Barnard College, where she focused heavily on ecofeminism, performance, memory, and development paradigms in Latin America. As the daughter of a Spanish teacher, Taylor grew up with a love of languages that she has carried with her throughout her academic career. This passion for languages and cultures grew stronger through her experiences living and studying abroad in Quito, Ecuador.
