The Linguistics department is pleased to welcome Lisa Levinson, who will join the department in September 2019 as a Lecturer III.

Lisa will be offering courses and working with students in a wide range of areas including semantics, psycholinguistics, and general linguistics. She will also be working on enhancing our undergraduate students’ involvement in departmental research and in developing their own independent research, including the development and execution of honors theses.

Lisa holds a PhD in linguistics from NYU (2007) and a BA (English with Latin minor) from Barnard College and is currently a tenured associate professor at Oakland University. Lisa’s research interests are semantics, morphosemantics, argument structure, and psycholinguistics.

Welcome, Lisa!
