The Linguistics Department is thrilled to announce that U-M Linguistics graduate student Dominique Bouavichith received a 2019 Outstanding Graduate Student Instructor (GSI) Award.

Bestowed by the U-M Rackham Graduate School, the Outstanding GSI Awards recognize the efforts and accomplishments of a select group of twenty GSIs across all academic programs for demonstrating extraordinary dedication and excellence as teachers.

“Dom is a phenomenal teacher who holds students to high standards and instills in them confidence in their abilities and in the importance of their contributions,” commented Linguistics Professor Pam Beddor. “He creates an inclusive, engaging learning environment by inviting students learn from each other and introducing them to new, creative methods for studying their knowledge and use of language.”

Congratulations, Dom!
