Silvia Pedraza, Professor of American Culture and Sociology, recently sat down with Nardy Baeza-Bickel to discuss the Biden administration granting Venezuelans Temporary Protected Status.  This interview draws on Prof. Pedraza's wide-running knowledge of U.S. legal practices and migrations from Latin America.  Additionally, Prof. Pedraza has been a critical part of the Latina/o Studies Program almost since its inception.  She served as the first tenure-track Director and has offered critical courses for our majors and minors.  She is the co-author of Revolutions in Cuba and Venezuela: One Hope, Two Realities.
