Ruth Behar, the Victor Halm Perera Collegiate Professor of Anthropology recently sat down with Mike Downs for the Michigan News: Beyond the Headlines podcast. Prof. Behar has been celebrated for her creative and scholarly work. She was the very first Latina to win a MacArthur "Genius" Grant. She has long been a part of the Latina/o Studies Program at Michigan, including her previous service as Director. In this podcast, she discusses a childhood experience that changed her life.
