Mid-Day Morsel tours take place the second Friday of the month and begin at 12:30 PM.
  • Flash Talks- Kelsey Museum Flash Talks are 15-minute Zoom lectures by Kelsey curators, staff members, researchers, and graduate students talking about their recent research or current projects. Each presentation is followed by 15 minutes of Q&A. They take place at noon on the first Friday of every month.

K-12 Educators and School Groups - Guided Tours and Activities Resume

As of the start of the school year, the Kelsey Museum resumed its regular tour and activities programs for our K-12 school groups. We will continue to support self-guided and instructor-guided visits as well as virtual tours. Please contact our education department (Kelsey.ed@umich.edu) to schedule all visits to the Kelsey. We request two weeks advance notice to ensure there is space in the galleries for your group.

Announcing Fall 2022 Family Day - October 16, 2022

The theme of this fall's Family Day is “Trade in the Ancient Mediterranean,” and it will take place from Noon to 3 PM on Sunday, October 16, 2022. Grab your Kelsey Passport Book upon entrance to the Museum, and join us on a journey through time as we explore trade in the ancient Mediterranean. Discover the routes traders took, over land and sea. Explore a Graeco-Roman marketplace, and learn how money was used in the ancient world. There will be plenty of hands-on activities for kids of all ages, as well as docent-led tours of the galleries. Don't miss this unique event that is fun for the whole family.

All tours and activities are free and open to all visitors. We hope you join us this fall!
