“Once Upon a Time …”

Every culture has its own stories. Some have been passed down from generation to generation for thousands of years. Join us for Family Day and hear stories from Egypt, Greece, Rome, and the Near East.

Explore …
the world of ancient stories and the people who told them

Discover …
how archaeologists uncover ancient stories through artifacts

Create …
your own stories with fun hands-on crafts and activities

The Kelsey Museum and the Family Day event are free and open to the public. Engaging, hands-on activities and storytelling take place in Newberry Hall. More storytelling and activities take place in the museum galleries from 12:30 to 3:00 PM.
