Kathy Gunderson
Saturday, February 25, 2023

Kelsey Museum of Archaeology Map
It may seem obvious that ancient cultures living along the Mediterranean, would rely heavily on the sea, not only as a means of travel but as a plentiful food source. The fishing industry was especially valuable in trade for other commodities such as grains and olive oil.

The importance of fish to the ancient world is found in many subtle (and small) ways across many of the Mediterranean cultures represented at the Kelsey. Join us to learn about the fishing industry, as we view some "fishy" decorations.

Masks are optional inside the Kelsey. For more information about our COVID procedures and how to prepare for your visit, please visit our website, https://myumi.ch/9PG1P.

This event is free and open to all visitors. If you have any questions or concerns regarding accessing this event, please visit our accessibility page or contact the education office (734-647-4167). We ask for advance notice as some accommodations may require more time for the university to arrange.
