Library Collections

The University of Michigan and The Frankel Center for Judaic Studies hold a rich collection of rare, primary source materials housed around the university. The Hatcher Library is home to the Judaica-Hebraica Unit and the Special Collections Library, which includes the Jewish Heritage Collection dedicated to Mark and Dave Harris, the Joseph T. and Marie Adler Collection of Holocaust Materials, and the Irwin Alterman Haggadah Collection. The Salinger Resource Center, located on the third floor of the Thayer Building, includes a non-circulating reference library and a reading room. The Jewish Heritage Video Collection is housed in the Language Resource Center, while the Weinreich Family Collection is dispersed throughout these locations.

For more information see the library's Judaic Studies Research Guide, or reach out to Gabriel Mordoch, Irving M. Hermelin Curator of Judaica.
