Holocaust Memorial Center Fund

This gift provides support for student field trips to the Holocaust Memorial Center in Farmington Hill, Michigan.

This gift provides support for Yiddish Language Instruction in Judaic Studies.

Martin Salinger Fund

This gift provides support for maintaining and adding instructional materials and equipment to the Martin Salinger Learning Resource Center within the Frankel Center for Judaic Studies.

Rita Poretsky Fund for Yiddish

This gift provides support for Yiddish Language Instruction in Judaic Studies.

Jeffrey Stern and Susan Kahn Fund

This gift provides instructional support for courses in Judaic Studies about Jewish Civilization and Cultures. 

Endowed Professorships

Jean and Samuel Frankel Professorship in Rabbinic Literature

This gift provides support for an endowed professorship, named the Jean and Samuel Frankel Professor in Rabbinic Literature.

Louis and Helen Padnos Visiting Professorship in Judaic Studies

This gift provides support for a visiting professor, named the Louis & Helen Padnos Visiting Professor in Judaic Studies, who will teach for one semester and will provide a lecturer in Holland or Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Preston R. Tisch Professorship in Judaic Studies

This gift provides support for an endowed professorship, named the Preston R. Tisch Professor of Judaic Studies.

Samuel Shetzer Chair in American Jewish Studies

This gift provides support for an endowed professorship, named the Samuel Shetzer Professor of American Jewish Studies.

Undergraduate/Graduate

Bell Family Fund for Judaic Studies

This gift provides support to undergraduate and graduate students in Judaic Studies who wish to travel and study abroad.

Delta Phi Epsilon Scholarships Fund

This gift supports undergraduate and graduate students in Judaic Studies.

Stanley Frankel Summer Travel Fellowship Fund

This gift provides undergraduate and/or graduate students affiliated with Judaic Studies funds for summer travel to Israel, Europe, or Latin America.

Lisa Gottlieb Kantor and Todd Kantor Family Israel Study Fund

This gift provides support for UM undergraduate and graduate students who wish to study Israel.  Examples of this support may include, but are not limited to: Israel study abroad, internship programs in Israel, or research on topics related to Israel.

Alon Kaufman & Shari Ferber Friendship Foundation Fund

This gift provides support to undergraduate and graduate students in Judaic Studies who wish to travel and study abroad.

Weingast Family Fund

This gift supports UM students with financial need who wish to study abroad in Israel.  Preference is given to students from LSA who will be studying for semester or year-long programs.

Orna & Keenan Wolens Global Experience Fund

This gift provides support to undergraduate and graduate students in Judaic Studies who wish to travel and study abroad, with a preference for students traveling to Israel.

Al and Florence Schwartzberg Scholarship Fund

This gift supports UM undergraduate students with demonstrated financial need.  Examples of this support may include, but are not limited to: tuition assistance, research projects, internships and study abroad.

Amy and Andrew Horowitz Family Global Experience Fund

This gift supports undergraduate students in LSA participating in global engaged learning experiences related to Jewish or Israeli history, culture, art, politics or language.

Michael S. Bernstein Graduate Student Fund

This gift supports an annual award, the Michael Bernstein Dissertation Prize in Judaic Studies, for the best graduate student dissertation and/or graduate student research.

Brandt Graduate Fellowship Challenge Account Fund

This gift provides fellowship support to graduate students in Judaic Studies.

Frances and Hubert Brandt Israel Fellowship Fund

This gift provides financial assistance to graduate students who wish to study or conduct research in Israel.

Simeon Brinberg Outstanding Student Award Fund

This gift supports an outstanding M.A. student in Judaic Studies.

Todd M. Endelman Doctoral Fellowship Fund

This gift provides 5 years of full fellowship support to graduate students in Judaic Studies.

Frankel Family Fellowship Fund

This gift provides support to graduate students in Judaic Studies.

This gift established by Shelby Tauber and her children to honor her mother and the memory of her father, the purpose of the fund is graduate student support.
