Welcome to the Interdepartmental Program in Greek and Roman History! This Ph.D. and certificate program, jointly sponsored by the Departments of Classical Studies and History, provides graduate training in both Classical Studies, including ancient languages, and History broadly conceived. The goal is to produce historians of the ancient world with the core skills of the discipline of Classical Studies and the broad perspectives and interpretive approaches of the field of History.
