  • The Rackham Graduate School offers workshops on self-care and other related strategies on how to feel fulfilled in one’s personal, professional and interpersonal life. The workshops cover topics such as the “Art of Sleep and Restfulness,” “Positive Mindset,” “Starting Points for Difficult Conversations,” and “How to Improve Your Time Management and Procrastination” among others. Rackham also has an extensive list of physical and mental health resources for graduate students, covering both on- and off-campus sites for individual and family care. 

  • Learning and Professional Development (LPD) offers an array of training sessions to help students, staff, and faculty focus on personal and professional wellness.

  • CRLT has put together a list of resources on managing one’s academic and professional life, including strategies for productivity and ten ways to say ‘no’.

  • Center for the Education of Women (CEW) has a web-post titled, “When the Professional is Also Personal: Self-Care and Compassion Fatigue,” offering basic guidelines on how to manage multiple identities and the academy/workplace.

  • The Campus Mind Works website provides mental health and academic support resources on campus to help students stay healthy and manage college life. It works in coordination with MiTalk, an initiative of U-M Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), promoting the health and overall wellness of students and staff.
