Institutional Leadership

  • Rackham’s Professional Development Leader (RPDL) Program identifies and trains a core of graduate students from across the university to serve as professional development leaders within departments to liaise between Rackham and graduate programs in a variety of ways, including facilitate workshops and coordinate activities and resources related to student’s professional development.

  • The Office of Faculty Affairs and Faculty Development in the U-M Medical School offers a series of workshops on leadership development and interpersonal skills that would interest graduate students in the humanities.

  • The U-M Munger Graduate Residence runs a Transdisciplinary Fellows Program for graduate students to hone their leadership and program coordination skills through workshop planning and campus-community dialogues.

  • Learning and Professional Development (LPD) offers an array of educational sessions to help students, staff, and faculty work with and on their leadership and communication skills.

  • The Women’s Resource Center at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, coordinates sending Michigan women to the National Conference for College Women Student Leaders (NCCWSL).

  • The Program on Intergroup Relations (IGR) educates students and staff on social justice and intergroup relations through engaged-learning courses, research projects, and leadership opportunities.
