What is a health issue that you are really passionate about, and why?

Providing more inclusive care for people of color and those in the LGBTQ+ community is an issue I am extremely passionate about. As a member of both, I have been wronged a lot in my healthcare experiences, as have many people I’ve known. Healthcare is something that should be given to all equally, and it pains me to see others given less than others because of the color of their skin and/or because of how they identify and love. I want to be the person who makes healthcare all inclusive for everyone, not just some.

What is a show that you've watched, a book you've read, or music you've enjoyed recently?

I have been reading all of Alice Oseman’s (the creator of Heartstoppers) books recently. I absolutely LOVED the Netflix adaptation of Heartstoppers and figured I would read the actual books. Definitely worth it! The stories are amazing, and her work at describing LGBTQ+ issues and mental illness is so well represented. I definitely recommend checking it out!
