About
Hi everyone! My name is Julia, and my hometown is Windsor, Ontario, Canada. I have lived in the United States for the majority of my life in both Groton, Connecticut, and Portage, Michigan (although we visit Canada all the time since the majority of our family lives there). I just transferred into the College of Pharmacy at UM, pursuing at Bachelors in Pharmaceutical Sciences (BSPS) with a potential minor in Public Health (FPHSS) on a pre-med track. I aspire to be either a clinician or a general surgeon (but this changes everyday!). I hope to have a job in the future that allows for interaction with different patients on a daily basis; I love taking on new challenges! Last year, I was an event supervisor for the UM Science Olympiad Invitational. I also enjoy participating in Taekwondo, and recently just joined the Crohn's and Colitis Student Initiative. This summer, I am pursuing a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) License in hopes of working in a clinical setting in the near future. HSSP has helped me with countless career opportunities, mainly through their counseling services; shadowing physicians, nurse practitioners, and clinical pharmacists, alike! It has also helped me establish a sense of community at UMich. I met the majority of my amazing friends through this program! I am super excited to meet everyone in the fall.
What is a show that you've watched, a book you've read, or music you've enjoyed recently?
I recently watched the show Outer Banks! I really enjoy a good mystery, and the sense of adventure that the characters have!
