About
I'm from Detroit, Michigan, which is a little less than an hour from Ann Arbor. My intended major is Neuroscience/Psychology and I plan on attending medical school after college with the goal of becoming a Neurosurgeon. In my free time, I enjoy reading and writing, camping, traveling and spending time with family. At U of M, I currently work at the PIC program at the Shapiro Library and I am also a member of Cru, which is a small Christian Bible Study group that meets weekly in the evening. One interesting fact about me is that I've been on a military helicopter before and what I love most about HSSP is the camaraderie.
What is a quote that inspires you, and why?
One quote that inspires me is "Aim for progress, not perfection." I really love this quote because it's a helpful reminder that while we work so hard in college and try to get the best possible grades, sometimes we forget that we're human and we're not going to be perfect in every subject. The important thing that we need to keep in mind is that as long as we work on gaining a better understanding in a class or of ourselves in general, then that's what's most important.
