My name is Bianca Barraza, I’m from Chicago, IL and I plan on applying to major in Public Health while staying on a Pre-PA track. I’m involved with La Casa and in the Multicultural Greek community by being in Delta Tau Lambda Sorority Inc. I love trying new food, reading, and traveling for fun. A big reason why I love HSSP because it a great opportunity to branch out with meeting new people and opportunities.
What is a health issue that you are really passionate about, and why?
A health issue I’m really passionate about is Diabetes and Breast Cancer. My family and people in my community have been greatly effected because of these health issue. Why I’m passionate about these health issues is because they keep increasing in specifically community of colors with no great change in the underlying health disparities that drive these health issues.
