As part of Honors 135: The National Parks--America's Best Idea?, a group of honors students traveled to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore for a weekend camping trip. After reading about the controversial formation of the park, students studied current issues in park management and speculated over how the area may have been different if the park were not formed. And of course, they climbed the dunes!
