On April 29, family, friends, faculty, and staff packed Auditorium 3 in the Modern Languages Building to celebrate 125 students graduating with degrees in History. It was the first in-person ceremony since 2019.

Director of Undergraduate Studies Perrin Selcer and Assistant Director of Undergraduate Studies Kate Wroblewski served as emcees, and Department Chair Angela Dillard delivered welcome remarks. Serena Bernal delivered a student address to the Class of 2022. Professor Howard Brick, who received his bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees from the university, delivered the ceremony's keynote, "History Between Past and Future." 

Dania Jaamour and Mariah Missentzis both won the department’s Undergraduate Award for Leadership and Service. Professor Melanie Tanielian received the Undergraduate Teaching Award, which was presented by History Club's Nina Naffziger.
