The History Department recently announced the latest winners of its Graduate Student Instructor (GSI) teaching awards. Pictured from left to right above:

Matthew Villeneuve received the John Williams Outstanding GSI Award in US History. His research focuses on late-nineteenth and early twentieth century US history, with a particular focus on American Indian history. In addition to this distinction from the History Department, Matthew received an an Outstanding Graduate Student Instructor Award from Rackham Graduate School. 

Taylor Sims received the Sidney Fine Outstanding GSI Award. Her work explores women, gender identity, and religion in medieval and early modern England.

Sikandar Kumar received the Sidney Fine Outstanding GSI Award. His research interests include eighteenth and nineteenth century South Asian intellectual, social, and literary history.
