Gabrielle Hecht's 2012 book Being Nuclear: Africans and the Global Uranium Trade (MIT Press) has been awarded the Susanne M. Glasscock Humanities Book Prize for Interdisciplinary Scholarship, awarded by the Texas A & M Center for Humanities Research.
