In case you're new to Tappan, or haven't stopped by in a while, below is a list of the people you'll find in the History of Art main office, 110 Tappan Hall.

Matthew Biro, department chair, has been with the department since 1994.  Before becoming the chair in July 2010, he served as interim and associate chair.  Previously, he directed the Arts and Ideas Program in the Residential College.  He teaches a number of lecture and seminar classes in the department including the History of Photography, Twentieth Century Art, Dada and Surrealism, Weimar Culture, Contemporary Photography, and Methods.

Jeff Craft became the department key administrator in August 2010.  For the last decade, he has held positions in finance in LSA and in the Department of Physics.  Prior to joining the University of Michigan, Jeff was a staff manager for IKON Corporation.

Luciana Borbely, executive assistant to the chair since November 2009, joined the University of Michigan after an extensive career in marketing and marketing communication for Fortune 100 companies in New York City. She is a native of Parma, Italy, and an alumna of NYU Tisch School of the Arts graduate program.

Christy Cast started as administrative assistant in 2009.  An expert in office applications software, Christy holds a degree in administration from Washtenaw Community College.  She joined the department after several years at  Huron-Clinton Metroparks.
