Last year, GSP Advisory Council member and UM Rotaract Club President Louis Albertini founded an annual international service trip that serves an underprivileged community abroad over spring break. This year, a team of 15 undergraduate volunteers travelled to Panajachel, Guatemala and were able to build 21 eco-friendly stoves for families living in rural communities. This project was funded by $2,200 raised by the students and a generous $3,500 donation from Ann Arbor Rotary. These stoves have improved the living standards of the families tremendously by providing health and financial benefits. Rotaract is a Rotary-sponsored international service club for young professionals between the ages of 18 and 30.This year's international service trip was led by International Service Chair Rui Zhang.
