Fall 2017 Alumnx Newsletter 2

Hello fabulous GSP Alumni!

Welcome to our second edition of the 2017 - 2018 Alumni newsletter! We're excited to continue serving as an outlet for you all to further your careers as citizens of the world. The GSP alumni network expands each year, and we here at the GSP office want to support you all as best we can - our doors are always open to you!

Giving Blue Day!

Each year, the University hosts a day for alumni and other supports of the University to donate money to programs on campus close to their heart. Giving Blue Day is unique in that whatever amount you donate goes directly to the department or program of your choice, rather than in a nebulous pot of cash. GSP humbly requests that you think of us during Giving Blue Day - your generous patronage helps support our hard working student leaders in planning events to museums, buying tickets to speeches on campus, and hosting social events for everyone in GSP. Every dollar makes an impact, and we would be thrilled if you could donate to GSP!

Global Citizenship Conference

Saturday, December 2rd, 2017
Rackham Graduate School

Global citizenship is a popular idea among many students and educators, yet we do not always conceptualize or actualize it in the same ways. This conference is an opportunity to share interdisciplinary approaches to global citizenship, with emphasis on how we put this idea into practice.

Global Scholars Symposium

Saturday, April 7th, 2018
Rackham Graduate School

Each year, the first-year Global Scholars participate in Global Engagement Internships and collaborate with NGOs around the world to make a positive impact in people's lives. Please join us in learning about and celebrating their hard work, attend panels, and listen to a keynote speech.
