Welcome to GSP!
One World. One Community.
The Global Scholars Program (GSP) prepares sophomore, junior, and senior University of Michigan students to be interculturally competent global citizens, champions for meaningful change, and innovative leaders of tomorrow.
GSP is an academic living-learning community that provides sophomore, junior, and senior University of Michigan students the opportunity to engage with U.S., international and exchange students on campus and around the world.
Students will learn about global issues from multiple cultural perspectives. Also, coursework and collaborative projects will assist students as they begin to develop and hone their intercultural communication skills.
Finally, Global Scholars residents are encouraged to study, intern, or work abroad to reap the full rewards of the program—learning from intercultural experiences and engaging with the world.
GSP Info Session and Panel – hosted by the GSP RA's
Are you wondering what it's like to be a Global Scholar? On March 18, 2021 the GSP RA's hosted an information session with a panel discussion with GSP Alum Brigitte Smith and GSP members Samir Agarwala and Erik Anderson. Watch to learn about first hand experiences of living in a global community that is home to students of over 30 different nationalities. Our panel will also consider what being a member of GSP has been like during the COVID-19 pandemic.
