About
My name is Catharina Guenther and I’m a senior majoring in German with a minor in Asian Studies. I’m from Ann Arbor and started studying German in high school. Coming from a German family it was very important to me to improve my language skills. My first German classes at Michigan were German 412, and German 425. I’ve taken many other classes such as German 326 and German 375, as well as studied at the Goethe Institut in Germany this past summer. I’m very excited to be a peer mentor and give back to the German department and community that has been so helpful and supportive to me as a student. I’m happy to talk about being a German major, studying abroad in Germany, summer classes, or just as a friendly resource! Outside of academics, I love to bake and go on long walks and bike rides.
