German Peer Mentorship Positions

Application Deadline
Friday, August 21, 2020
11:59-11:59 PM
Off Campus Location
What is a peer mentor? Peer mentors are upper-level German majors/minors who are available to meet in person and/or talk via email to undergraduates about their experience in the German Department (study abroad, internship abroad, Max Kade House, German Club, courses, extracurriculars).

A picture of you will be posted on the German department's website as well as a short "ask me about" section so that mentees can get to know you. You may work with a single student or multiple, but you are expected to be available to mentees who reach out to you specifically. Involvement in this program will not be extremely time consuming, and it is a great way to give back and meet more people in the German Department.

Applicants will be chosen based on their experiences and involvement in the German Department, as well as involvement outside of German in other areas of the University in order to have a wide range of people accessible to mentees. We also want to see enthusiasm for both the German Department and helping others!

Don't hesitate to reach out to Kalli Federhofer (kallimz@umich.edu) or Mary Rodena-Krasan (mkrasan@umich.edu) if you have any questions.
