CMT/Viacom summer 2017 internship was certainly one to remember: Jaime had the privilege of working as an intern in the Programming Strategy department at CMT (Country Music
Television) -- which is a brand owned by Viacom Media Networks. Through this internship, Jaime was able to learn about the television (and music—which was a bonus) industry by absorbing the tasks, obstacles, and achievements that come with working for a major cable network. By the completion of her time at CMT/Viacom, Jaime had solidified her interest in working for a television network once she transitions from student to professional. One of her favorite perks of the job was a weekly event  called BYOV (bring your own video), in which the Music & Talent department invited up and coming artists to come play for the company. At this intimate event, Jaime was able to not only hear performances, but also shake hands with and hear stories from some of her favorite artists.
