Frank and Gail Beaver Script Writing Prize

The Frank and Gail Beaver Production Script Writing Prize will be awarded to a FTVM student for a distinguished script up to 30 pages developed in a Department of Film, Television, and Media production class. Consideration for the Prize will be given to all forms of creative writing: experimental, narrative drama, documentary, animation. The winner will be announced at the annual Hopwood Awards presentation each April in the Rackham Amphitheater. 

Please note: scripts written in the following Screenwriting courses are ineligible:
FTVM 310, 311, 410, 411, 427.

To apply:

(a) Submit one copy of the script or storyboard to Dropbox for projects not to exceed 30 minutes.  Scripts may be up to 30 pages in length.

(b) One submission per student.

(c) A cover sheet including your name, student ID number, phone number, local address and permanent address. List the course number of the FTVM class for which the script was written.

If a choice must be made between applications of equal merit, priority will be given to the proposal submitted by an applicant who has not received funds during the previous grant cycle.
