The FTVM 150 Audiovisual Essay Festival, held on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, showcased the hard work, critical acumen, and creativity that students put into their final capstone projects, in which each student made an original critical argument in audiovisual form about a selected film or television episode that was studied in the course. Last semester’s Best of Festival winner, Noor NouNou, hosted the festival, and, in addition to festival awards voted on by students in the class, the festival featured two Special Commendations, given by guest judges FTVM Assistant Professor Swapnil Rai and LSA Instructional Support Services Video Coordinator Shawn Jackson. FTVM 150 was co-taught this fall by Professors Caryl Flinn and Matthew Solomon; the course's GSI's were Bailey Compton, Katrina Shafer, and Kaelie Thompson.
