Matthew Solomon recently gave an invited guest lecture on Georges Méliès for Professor Kelley Conway's combined graduate and undergraduate French film course at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

Solomon was also recently featured in an episode of the podcast "Acting Funny" wherein he converses with Shane Rhyne about the life and legacy of Georges Méliès and why he and other professionals from the world of magic flocked to become among the earliest adopters of the new technology of cinema.The featured film in this conversation, Une nuit terrible (A Terrible Night), is one of Méliès’ early films from 1896.
