About
Zoë Carpenter is a writer, editor, and journalist from Oregon. She has reported from all over the United States and in Latin America for Rolling Stone, The Nation, and various other publications. She is a recipient of the James Aronson Award for Social Justice Journalism, a grantee of the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting, and a finalist for the Livingston Awards, the Mirror Awards, and the National Awards for Education Reporting. She is currently an MFA candidate in fiction at the Helen Zell Writers’ Program at the University of Michigan.
