Zell Fellow (Poetry)
About
Matt Del Busto is a Zell Fellow in poetry through the University of Michigan's Helen Zell Writers' Program, where he graduated with an MFA in poetry in 2022. At Michigan, he was a finalist for three Hopwood awards, including the 2021 Hopwood Graduate Poetry contest and the 2022 Hopwood Theodore Roethke Prize. A native Hoosier, he studied English and Spanish at Butler University before teaching English in Malaga, Spain as a Fulbright grantee. He currently lives in Chelsea, Michigan, where he writes poetry and offers virtual writing coaching through Gilliam Writers Group when he's not busy baking sourdough or eating ice cream.
