About
Caroline Harper New is a poet and visual artist from southern Georgia, where her poetry confronts climate change, ancestral culpability, and motherhood as a cultural medium. She holds a BFA in Anthropology from Davidson College, where her research focused on collective memory and generational trauma. She has authored chapbooks Sweetened & Steeped and Lightning Makes the Clay Red, and she edited Tantely Tapa-Bata, a collection of poems and essays by Malagasy students. Her work has appeared in Libertas, Hobart Park, Louisiana’s Best Emerging Writers, and North Carolina’s Best Emerging Poets.
