Lecturer I - EDWP
About
My teaching and research are informed by the conversations I am having with people I care about: I'm learning about kindness and dignity from Melvin Parson, with whom I have created a community-engaged writing course; I've unlearned what expertise looks like from the interviews my students have done with We The People Opportunity Farm interns and from the interns themselves; I am learning to appreciate the way that landscapes tell stories from Eva Roos and fellow faculty at the University of Michigan Biological Station; I relearn the importance of cycles, rest, and communication by observing bees alongside my beekeeping mentor Eileen Dickinson; and I am always unlearning grind culture by practicing slow scholarship.
