Melanie Yergeau's Authoring Autism: On Rhetoric and Neurological Queerness has received the 2019 Rhetoric Society of America Book Award. The Book Award Committee selected Authoring Autism as the strongest book-length piece of rhetorical scholarship in a competitive field of 37 scholarly books published in 2018 by RSA members. Yergeau is an associate professor of English and associate director of the Digital Studies Institute at the University of Michigan whose scholarly interests include writing studies, digital studies, queer rhetorics, and disability studies.
