Dutton’s DEI mentorship committee will host a virtual Careers in Publishing panel for students in the University of Michigan’s Department of English Language and Literature. This event is open to UM undergraduate students and graduate students, as well as Helen Zell Writers' Program and UM English alumni.
The panel will feature five people who represent various departments across the imprint. After a brief introduction by each panelist, moderator Kabelo Motsoeneng (MFA student) will ask the panelists various questions about their departments and roles, tips for applying to jobs in publishing, and more, followed by an audience Q&A. The panelists include:
Lauren Morrow (HZWP Class of '21), Senior Publicist
Pilar Garcia-Brown, Senior Editor
Stephanie Cooper, Director of Marketing
Ryan Richardson, Assistant Managing Editor
Ana Giovinazzo, Assistant Director of Content and Backlist Strategy
