IS 502: Academic Communications Seminar
MEETS: Wednesdays, 12:00pm-2:00 pm
PLACE: 955 Weiser Hall
DATES: January 18- March 29 (10 sessions)
COURSE FEE: $1100
This course focuses on the academic skills that scholars, researchers, faculty, and other academic professionals in all disciplines need to succeed in the academic community. Key course components include:
- Research writing
- Poster and conference presentations
- Leading and participating in formal discussions
- Informal interactions in the academic community
All participants receive extensive individualized instructor feedback.
