Monica Wagner, PhD student in Nursing, took first place and a $500 travel grant in the Third Annual Three Minute Thesis competition (3MT®) with her presentation "The Role of Gene Activity Changes in the Lateral Hypothalamus in the Development of Chemotherapy-induced Peripheral Neuropathy." Co-sponsored by ELI and the Rackham Graduate School, the 3MT® challenges graduate students to to present their research in language accessible to an educated non-specialist audience in just 3 minutes, using one slide. 




Peter Goldberg, PhD candidate in chemistry, received the Audience Choice award for his presentation "Polymer Solar Cells: All Dressed Up."
