The Eisenberg Institute for Historical Studies has awarded 12 fellowships for 2013-14. "The selection process was excruciating," said Hitomi Tonomura, Director of the Institute and Professor of History and Women's Studies at the University of Michigan. "Our fellows play a significant role in shaping the Institute's program, adding an essential spark to our ongoing conversations."

Since 2006, the Institute has awarded more than 125 fellowships to faculty, postdoctoral students, and graduate students from University of Michigan and other colleges and universities.
