Forum for Research in Empirical International Trade’s (FREIT) 23rd annual Empirical Investigations in International Trade (EIIT) conference will be held at U-M. It is one of the premier conferences in international trade, and we are excited to be able to bring it to Michigan. The conference will feature current research presented and discussed by leading economists in the field.

The keynote speaker will be David Weinstein (U-M PhD ’91, Columbia University). He will speak about “Trade and Welfare: A Big Data Approach.” You can look through the entire EIIT agenda here.

The atmosphere at this conference is informal and lively, where audience participation is expected and encouraged. If you have any questions, please contact Andrei Levchenko, Tibor Besedeš, or Jon Haveman.

Hosting this conference at U-M was made possible by funding from Michigan Institute for Teaching and Research in Economics (MITRE) in the Department of Economics, the Stephen M. Ross School of Business, and the International Policy Center in the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy.
