The PhD program is delighted to announce that Mr. Gaurav Khanna was awarded a Pre-doctoral Fellowship for 2015 from the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) for his dissertation proposal: "Essays in the Economics of Developing Countries."

This award was granted to one other student: Chen Liu (UC-San Diego). This NBER fellowship provides up to $12,000 in tuition support and $25,000 in stipend support. Gaurav will also be invited to any specialized meetings that NBER holds on the topic of high-skill immigration.

Before starting his PhD studies, Gaurav graduated from Oxford University with a Master’s in Economics.  Gaurav also previously worked at the World Bank in Washington D.C.
