Susan Stillings

Communications Consultant

Susan Stillings is a corporate communications executive who specializes in financial, crisis and integrated communication strategies. She has extensive investor relations and corporate governance experience, having helped numerous domestic and international companies list on U.S. exchanges, as well as buy, sell or merge. Currently, she is a semi-retired independent consultant and volunteer.

Susan’s career has included agency and in-house positions. Most recently, she was EVP, Marketing, for Cricut, a consumer technology company with a highly engaged social media community. During her career, Susan held leadership positions with prominent financial consultancies in New York, including Teneo Strategy, Joele Frank, Brunswick Group, and Edelman. A highlight was as managing director of Ogilvy Financial Asia Pacific based in Hong Kong and serving greater China and SE Asia. She began her career in investment banking with Bankers Trust Company (Deutsche Bank) and Security Pacific (Bank of America).

Over the past 20 years, Susan has served the Ross School of Business on various boards and on women’s recruiting and enrollment initiatives. She also supports UofM’s School of Music, Theatre and Dance. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a past member of the National Investor Relations Institute, where she served on the Los Angeles and San Francisco boards. Susan has also served on the board of directors of the Alzheimer’s Association of Los Angeles.

A proud Michigan graduate, her MBA is in finance and her bachelor’s degree is in economics. Susan is married and adores her new old lab, Persia, a retired guide dog.
