James L. Bellinson is the Managing Member and founder of Riverstone Communities. Riverstone owns and operates manufactured housing communities in 11 states. In 2012, Jim co-founded Peas and Carrots Hospitality LLC, a restaurant holding company that currently owns restaurants in Michigan and Chicago including the Social Kitchen and Bar and Mex brands. In 2015, Peas and Carrots became the master franchisee in the midwest, New York and Colorado for Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken. In 2007, Jim became an organizer and board member of Level One Bancorp, Inc. Jim served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Arcadia Services, Inc. (“Arcadia”). Arcadia is a national health care provider in 21 states that was sold in 1997 to Integrated Health Services, Inc., a New York Stock Exchange company. In 2015 Jim co-founded Riverstone Growth Partners which is an opportunistic private equity group. Also in 2015, Jim Co-founded Brilliant Detroit, a unique non-profit that buys homes in underserved Detroit neighborhoods and converts them to free early childhood learning centers. Jim is active in several other philanthropic organizations in the area. Jim graduated from the University of Michigan with an AB in Economics. He earned his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of San Diego, College of Law, and became a bar-certified attorney in the State of Michigan.
